The Stablecoin Saga, a comic

A comic I wrote at Aryze in spring 2025 to explain stablecoins, digital money tied to a normal currency such as the dollar. I made the panels in ChatGPT and put the pages together in Figma.

Episode 1 went out by email on 2 May. Episodes 2 and 3 were on Aryze's LinkedIn page the day they were made.

In spring 2025 we ran a campaign at Aryze that tried to wake the child in the decision maker. We wanted a different way to explain stablecoins, so it wouldn't always be the same boring material people see. It became a comic, the Aryze Stablecoin Saga.

The written briefs had a bird as the hero. In the panels I generated in ChatGPT the same day, he was already a Viking, swinging a sword at a kraken tentacle labelled "T+2 delays", the two-day wait before a payment settles. The first villains were snakes named "SWIFT", "correspondent" and "FX spread", three costs of a payment sent abroad.

I built every page panel by panel, corrected the words in the panels and added a real QR code.

A Viking hero explains stablecoins, from the hidden costs of payments abroad to currency exchange. The finished pages of episodes 1 and 3, and art made for the series.

I sent episode 1 by email on Friday 2 May. The email promised a different finance challenge every week.

Episodes 2 and 3 came out on Aryze's LinkedIn page on the next two Tuesdays, each made and posted the same day. For episode 3 on 13 May I made 12 versions of the panels in one afternoon, and the page went up that evening.
