From a Facebook group to Let's Study
As a teenager I started a homework group on Facebook, because I saw students who could not get help. With a partner I turned it into Let's Study, an online homework help business we ran until June 2020.
- 22,945members in the Facebook group at its peak
- 5,000members after three months
- My role
- Started the Facebook group and co-founded Let's Study, where I was responsible for the brand, pricing, hiring mentors and the product
- When
- February 2012 to June 2020
- Result
- The group became Denmark's largest youth homework community, and Let's Study ran from 2013 to June 2020.
In February 2012 I started a Facebook group called Lektiehjælp for alle, Danish for homework help for all, where students helped students for free. It had 5,000 members after three months and 22,945 at its peak, when it was Denmark's largest youth homework community.
The group as it looks today, with about 20,500 members. Its history shows that it carried Let's Study's name from 2017 and became Lektiehjælp året rundt in April 2020.
In 2013 my partner and I turned it into a business, Let's Study: online homework help with a live classroom and small groups, which kept the price down.
We hired and trained student mentors and ran it all on our own online platform. Parents filled in a questionnaire that my business partner and I wrote, and each pupil was matched with a mentor by subject, schedule and way of learning. After every session the mentor wrote a short report the parents could read.

Let's Study closed in June 2020. I kept running the Facebook group until February 2023.
