Two years on my LinkedIn

How my LinkedIn grew from under 200 followers to 1,780, and which posts reached the most people.

  • 1,780followers in October 2026, up from under 200
  • 86,422views on my own posts, October 2024 to September 2026
  • 7,744views on the most-viewed post
My role
Wrote and posted everything myself, and drafted some of the 2026 posts with Claude
When
October 2024 to October 2026
Result
The two posts that reached the most people were from SBC Summit in Malta and iGB Live in London.

From October 2024 to September 2026 I published 97 posts on my own LinkedIn and shared 80 more with my own text on top. Together my posts got 2,260 reactions and 86,422 views.

Most of the first year was crypto memes, with one to ten reactions each, and in the summer of 2025 fewer than 200 people followed me. In January 2026 I took over sales and marketing at Aryze, and the posts changed with the job. In February I started a newsletter on LinkedIn, Thought From Sensei, on how money actually moves, where it breaks and what it costs. My profile banners carry the same line.

Three banners for my LinkedIn profile, June 2026. Two carry the line "How money actually moves. Where it breaks. What it costs."

The posts that reached the most people were from trips. SBC Summit in Malta at the end of April was my first event in gaming and betting, and my post from it got 153 reactions and 4,998 views. My post from iGB Live in London in July, about the conference and our dinner, got 153 reactions and 7,744 views.

Posts that made an argument travelled less. In June I wrote that UK open banking payments went from 25 million in 2021 to 351 million in 2025, and asked why cards are still the default. I made the charts for it with Claude, and it got 611 views.

Charts with sources on cards versus bank payments. One tracks UK open banking payments from 25m in 2021 to 351m in 2025.

In July I introduced myself properly, in a post that began "Six months ago I would have told you LinkedIn wasn't for me." I wrote my real numbers and a few lines on how I work, and it got 3,544 views.

A reintroduction, with followers up from under 200 to 1,609 in a year. 78 reactions and 3,544 views.
